application on 16 sept..closing on 1 oct..interview call up on 18 oct..went interview on 20 oct..time to wait for result..2-3 weeks later..

bali, the land of gods
Balinese are mostly hindus, and therefore the island is full of hindu temples.
According to our guide, Hindus will collect money to build their temples. A few household will have a family temple, and they will build a 'neighbourhood' temple or even a larger temple for the whole city. The temples have a unique design and contain many gods statues made of stone which the island has plenty of them.
They produce batik, wood furniture,stone statues(export to india, china and silver ware.Walk along the streets at evening and you can see the offerings of Hindus to their gods. They will place some flowers and spices?? and even sweets onto a paper box and light the incense and put it on the floor.
There are active volcanoes on the island. Mount batur is one of them and recently it just erupted. Not from the top though, the eruption occurs from the bottom and killed off many fishes in the lake beside the volcano. However, despite the threat, you can find many villages beside the mountain. The air is fresh and the weather is cool. The soil is very fertile and no fertilizer is needed. Paddy fields, orange plantation, cabbages line the roads. A nice sight to see.
The special coffee of the bali island is the luwak coffee. The animal that looks like the cat luwak will eat coffee beans. The coffee beans are fermented in its body and then passed out in its poo. The beans in the poo is collected, washed and grind into luwak coffee. Dare to try?? They also have lemongrass drink, lemon tea and bali ginseng coffee.
For a driver, their average pay is about 200 to 300 singapore dollars. It is hard to make a living after the bali bombings. Before the bombings, they have a better life and making money is easier. However, the bombings have affected the tourism.
Shops are pretty empty but restaurants are very crowded though. Especially those at seminyak. Most of the bosses are foreigners from europe or America. They hire locals as the cook or waiters. The pizza is so delicious and very authentic italian. I even saw the italian boss ( a female) serving the food for us. The service is good. At another cafe, the boss personally asked all diners if the food is up to expectations. Something that you never encounter in Singapore. The bosses also serve the food, clean the tables and usher the guests. Such service is lacking here. the price is reasonable considering the ambience is more upmarket style, average about $10-13 per person with main course , desserts and drinks. In singapore, just a main course is already more than $13.
The downside of bali is there are too many tourist at the tourist attractions. It is best to go the to places off the beaten track.

spending money everyday..yes i know i shoudnt spend.
but then..i feel like spending even more when i have no income..
yes..highly possible im going travelling with my sis after the trip with mum
hahaha..spend spend spend..i forsee a bit storm and lots of nagging..but i don care..
really ..one day..one day i will still earn the money back..
haiz..but when???
so funny..but i bought so many things today..spending money makes me happy..
even bought a dvd why? nth to do ma..watch dvd can pass time so easily
next month.commencement! abit excited hehe
and more driving lessons!

I still don get the feel! i dont know if my car is slanted or not.
I dont know when is the point to turn my car.

my recipe
what i usually cook for my 三菜一汤 哈哈
stew mix veg
1. boil the celery carrot and mushroom in water( add some salt)
2.After partially boiled, drained.
3. Prepare wok. Stir fry onions and garlic till light brown
4. Add vegetables and stir fry.
5.Add seasoning: cooking wine, soy sauce, salt,sugar, pepper
6. Stir fry and add potato starch and water mix
6. stir fry and simmer until the sauce become thick
Tada!!
korean style spinach cold dish
1. boil spinach in water with abit of salt and drain
2. cool spinach in cold water
3.drain off the water
4. mix spinach with sesame oil
5. stir in sesame seed
6.Put into refrigerator
Tada!!
Meat or fish, teriyaki,stir fry
1.stir fry garlic onion in oil
2.put in the meat and fry
3.seasoning: mirin, soy sauce, sugar
4.fry till cooked and serve..so easy!
Baked potatoes with cheese
1.Boil potatoes till soft and peel off the skin
2.chop potato into bite size
3.Place potato into a baking dish
4.mix yogurt,mayonnaise into white sauce, add an egg and stir
5.pour sauce onto potato
6.sprinkle cheese and bread crumbs onto the potato
7.put into oven and baked till soft
tomato Egg:
1. boil tomato and cool. Peel of the skin. Chop tomatoes
2.Stir fry onions and tomatoes
3.beat eggs and pour into tomatoes
4.Flip egg when half cooked. Depends on egg style. scrambled or pancake style.
Soup:
1. prepare soup base. ikanbili soup/bonito flakes, boil
(porkbone soup or chicken bone soup..usually i don cook..haha)
2.add vege or tofu or seaweed
3.boil until cooked
4.off fire. Add in dark miso ( saltish) or white miso( sweet) and stir.
5.stir and complete

walk walk alone at orchard
My day at orchard ! Solo of course!
Took 105 to dfs orchard ( maximising my concession pass for bus hehe ) and walk all the way to shaw building. Once i reached there usually i will be so hungry..that i will succumb to food again.
And the best thing is sun moulin at shaw b1 level! Love the sweet wafles..so yummy..much better than the ones at four leaves..I also took the chocolate mini and the almond bar. The almond bar..love it.so crunchy and i like peanuts.shall fav it !! Total damage..$2.80

After that, i proceed via the underground to tangs.walk pass the etude house..20% off storewide...my aim is the sugar cane juice at tangs. It was suppose to be $1.30! but i wanted the lemon taste and it cost $1.60. No regrets..nice lemony taste with the sugar cane juice! The best thing is i walk pass old chang kee..so tempted..but i managed to resist..yea!
Stomach full..time to shop..or window shop =x
Made my way to wisma..and checked out the forever 21. They have so many ethnic style clothes..and another corner is the lacy and white section.
After that..walked pass holika holika..was quite empty..maybe because they overcharge..people do know that if they buy in korea or online is much cheaper..haha
Before i can reach taka, i am again attracted to the $12 earrings sale at isetan.
Haiz..the earrings very nice..nice dangling earrings..also have nice studs..
Didnt get anything but saw a guy asking beauty advice at shiseido counter haha
After that..its time to move off to taka!
First stop at the sephora..good concept if people want to browse only without buying..wont get disturbed
Next..off to pull and bear..I like their clothes..haiz..shall buy if i can find a job lor...
Finally reach kinokuniya..browse the books there and discover they set up this korean books corner..and a cute cute rilakuma corner..kawaii~

Back to isetan again! This time..i explored the guess big sale corner..the wallets..only 30 plus! but my wallet still in ok condition..got one guy there buying for his?? via the phone..trying to get the colour his ??? wants hahaha
Next ..tried some shoes..quite comfy! on sale also..but..i just bought one pair..

Now in Ion orchard! Nothing much..head to uniqlo..actually saw this t shirt quite cute with many many little hearts..nothing much else
fossil..their things looks v solid..can consider buying actually..the wallets
and finally..the best thing in ion and free of charge is the toilet. paper towels provided and the makeup table ..good!
